Almond & White Tea Freeze
|4||white tea bags|
|2 ¼||cups boiling water|
|1/2||cup unsweetened plain or vanilla almond milk (we use Blue Diamond Almond Breeze®)|
|1/2||cup pineapple juice|
|1/4||cup Agave In The Raw®|
|1/8||teaspoon natural almond extract|
Place a 9-inch square non-reactive baking dish, preferably stainless steel, in the freezer.
Place the teabags in a heatproof pitcher. Pour in the boiling water, and steep for 5 minutes. Transfer the tea bags to a small bowl until cool enough to handle, then squeeze them over the pitcher. Add the almond milk, pineapple juice, Agave In The Raw®, and almond extract to the tea. Refrigerate the almond/tea mixture, uncovered, until chilled, 4 hours to 24 hours.
Pour the almond/tea mixture into the chilled pan and set it flat in the freezer for 30 minutes. Stir in any ice crystals that have formed. Continue to check and stir the mixture until it is icy slush, 1-3 hours. (Note: If frozen solid, scraping the Freeze with the edge of a metal tablespoon creates a fluffy snow that is just as delicious!)
To serve, spoon the icy mixture into tall, narrow glasses. Add a straw, and serve. For best results, serve it the same day the mixture is frozen.
