Baked Apple French Toast
|6 cups||cubed whole wheat bread (14 oz. bread)|
|3||medium tart apples, peeled, cored and chopped (about 3 cups)|
|1 1/2 cups||milk|
|1/2 cup||Sugar In The Raw®|
|1 tsp.||apple pie spice|
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray. Combine bread and apples in prepared dish. Whisk eggs, milk, Sugar In The Raw®, vanilla and apple pie spice in large bowl. Pour over bread and apples.
Bake uncovered 45 to 55 minutes until top is golden brown and eggs are set. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with warm maple syrup, if desired.
