Baked Apple French Toast

Sugar In The Raw | Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 55 minutes | Makes 9 servings


6 cups cubed whole wheat bread (14 oz. bread)
3 medium tart apples, peeled, cored and chopped (about 3 cups)
4 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup Sugar In The Raw®
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. apple pie spice


Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray. Combine bread and apples in prepared dish. Whisk eggs, milk, Sugar In The Raw®, vanilla and apple pie spice in large bowl. Pour over bread and apples.

Bake uncovered 45 to 55 minutes until top is golden brown and eggs are set. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with warm maple syrup, if desired.
