Java Banana Smoothie
|1/2||cup hot strong brewed coffee|
|4||tablespoons Sugar In The Raw®, divided|
|1/2||teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided|
|1||cup very cold milk (may substitute soy milk)|
|1||frozen banana, peeled|
In a 1 cup glass measure, combine coffee, 3 tablespoons Sugar in the Raw® and ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon. Stir until sugar dissolves. Chill until very cold.
In a saucer, combine remaining Sugar in the Raw® and cinnamon. Moisten the rims of two 12-ounce glasses and dip in sugar mixture. Set aside.
Add frozen banana to blender and process until pureed. Slowly add coffee mixture and milk while continuing to process until smooth and froth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
Per serving: 220 calories, 4 g fat (2.5 g saturated fat), 44 g carbohydrate, 5 g protein, 2 g dietary fiber, 65 mg sodium.
