Cilantro Lime Prawns

Ingredients

• 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 2 tbsps olive oil
• Salt & pepper, to taste

For the Spicy Agave Garlic Lime Sauce:
• 3 tbsps Hot Agave In The Raw
• 1 tsp fresh lime juice
• 1 tsp lime zest
• 2 cloves minced garlic
• 3-4 tbsps chopped fresh cilantro
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.

  2. Step 2

    Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Step 3

    In the same skillet, reduce to low heat and add the Hot Agave In The Raw, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), and salt.

  4. Step 4

    Stir well to combine and cook for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

  5. Step 5

    Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Toss the shrimp in the sauce until they are well coated and heated through, about 1-2 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Transfer the shrimp to a serving plate and drizzle with any remaining sauce. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro.
